Last year I photographed my friends Lauren and Tielman (who are the coolest couple!) and this year I had the honour of being chosen to photograph them again because they are expecting Jonathan – their first child I know that they are going to be amazing Godly parents to him and I am so excited to see them around Jonathan once he arrives to meet us all. Jonathan is so blessed and God is going to be an integral part of His life. Lauren looks so stunning with her bump and she does glow. Enjoy the photos and can’t wait to meet Jonathan!!

Tammy is friends (also collegue) with one of my oldest & dearest friends Elne. Tammy was in search of a wedding photographer when Elne told her to look at my work – the rest is history shall we say since I am their honoured wedding photographer. This lovely couple will be tying the knot in June. They wanted a summer engagement shoot and we got a very hot summers day! Jc proposed to Tammy at the venue where we took the engagement shoot photos – Eikendal. They are a fun, sweet couple and you can almost hear Tammy’s laugh when you look at the photos. Lots of happiness & joy!
I have known Fran for many, many years We met when we were children & I have had the privilege to watch her become the beautiful woman that she is today. Her journey with Matthew started on the day I turned 21. I held a ridiculous 21st birthday party where my guests had to dress up as pop stars because the theme was karaoke - mind you I love singing so I would have another party like that in a heart beat haha! Matthew & Fran started dating at the end of 2007 – the same year that they met & have been inseparable since then. They understand each other and suit each other so well. They are a fun, happy couple & Matthew has been amazing for Fran. She is a lucky girl & of course what a lucky guy Matthew is to have the fabulous Fran! They got engaged on my birthday – it being the day they met so I was so happy when I found out! There was so much planning that went into his proposal plan – he went to so much trouble & even hit a few speed bumps (but hey so many guys do – including my husband & me being the speed bump lol). If I could use one word to describe their story it would be fairy tale - because it truly is and there wedding will be that as well. You guys are so awesome & what a privilege to photograph you two!! Fran chose the location – was amazing! xx
Frank contacted my recently for a couple shoot with his girlfriend who is visiting him from Holland. They are both dutch, both very tall (I was like “wow you are both so tall”) and very tanned They wanted photos in nature and vineyards so I took them to the Jan Marais park first where there were beautiful fynbos flowers in bloom, to Jonkershoek with the lovely Stellenbosch mountain in the background and lastly to Lanzerac for photos amongst the vineyards.
I was very excited when Elzette asked me to photograph Renier & herself + the growing bump David. They are so excited for the birth of their first child! I attend the same church as this lovely couple & one day David will be joining us in church You might recognize this location – Elzette loved the location where I took photos of Tiffany. It really is beautiful there!
Winter couple shoots are always something special because even though the weather is a bit chilly, there is a lot of warmth that emanates from the couple Stefan and Joy are getting married in January and I am the lucky photographer that gets to capture their love! The location for the couple shoot was something of significance for them because this is where Stefan and Joy got engaged. Ek is baie opgewonde vir julle troue. Geniet die fotos! xx
Danny & Elana are getting married tomorrow and this week we did their engagement shoot. What a cute couple! I loved their interaction and they way they fit so perfectly together. Sien baie uit na more! xx
What a lovely couple to work with! The weather went a bit pear shaped as the shoot progressed – started to drizzle but we kept going. Simoné is up for anything and was so energetic throughout the shoot which I loved! Just when I think I have pushed them too far they just keep going and Simoné was walking around in her high heels (in not the most ideal terrain) with a smile on her face. Love it! This is the first shoot where I got to use a new special lens of mine – a tilt shift. I used it quite often and I hope that you like the effect that it gives for certain images. I dreamt about this lens for such a long time and was so happy when I could finally get it for myself. Enjoy the photos! xx
It was the perfect Autumn’s day – maybe winter but it was nice and warm! This couple is so sweet together and I really look forward to their wedding in August. Something to look out for! Enjoy the photos, you were a joy to photograph.xx
